PV Rebate Program and Means Testing
The Australian Government announced in its May 2008 Budget that the PV rebate (up to $8000 for a PV system) will be subject to a $100,000 (family income) means test and that funding will be brought forward from future years. This presentation will consider the implications that means testing will have on the development of the solar PV market and implications for industry. The presentation will also assess the demand for rebates under the scheme and consider the impacts that the scheme is having on the structure of the PV market and on system prices.
